Daniel started off the show with RESPECT before being joined by fellow castmates Krissy, Joe and Erich.

Ashley was the FAM, and she’s a veterinary technician. She loves dogs, especially labs, but has two cats at home named Norman and Cocoa. After explaining the fun story of how Norman was named, we got down to business with Ashley. She came to the show with her girlfriend, the beautiful, funny & charming Jen, and Jen’s mom Cheryl. Ashley told us about her coworker Ricky, by describing him as flamboyant, talkative and well dressed. Because of the holiday, we asked about mom. Ashley’s mom is intelligent, family oriented and a tough cookie.
Why was everything you just read important? Because we were all going to dinner! In FAM Mother’s Day Dinner, Ashley was able to cast the roles of herself, her mom, Jen and Ricky. The kids took mom out for mother’s day to an expensive French restaurant. Mom was buying, but happy to spend time with everyone. Ricky wasn’t impressed with the server’s uniform. Apparently it needed more sparkles and happy penguins. Poor mom wanted Italian food. Let’s home she ended up finding some.

Joe warmed up the audience by helping them make Mother’s Day cards out of construction paper.

Audience member Chris jumped up to play Alphabet. Krissy was upset that her dog barked until he suddenly started speaking, before Erich and Chris were were cavemen…or were they just men stuck in a cave?

Erich and Krissy hosted the Ikea Putting Together Furniture Contest in Sports Commentator. Joe and Daniel were trying to figure out the directions, even in Braille, using the “bendy thing” as a tool. Joe had years of experience while Daniel had never seen Ikea furniture, so this may not have been a fair fight. After much confusion, there was sabotage in the workshop when Daniel glued Joe’s foot to cardboard, before Joe knocked him out. In the end, the guys ended up with an office chair and a tv stand, which would’ve been great, except they should’ve put together lamps.

In Revolver, the four pairs had the following gets: fabulous, cocoa, kissing cousins and the beach. As always, things were all over the place in a hilarious way. Erich took a bath in hot chocolate and marshmallows that filled Chris’ truck. Joe and Erich were bored at a wedding and spiked…everything. Daniel and Joe were cruising the sea when the island moved (yay “Lost” reference!), and Daniel was helping Chris compete against the Gerber baby on billboards.

Daniel was the title character in Pavlovian Response. He was very itchy and couldn’t handle one word answers. Krissy suddenly became an Irish step dancer when someone coughed, and Erich growled when arms were raised. The three were going grocery shopping but not for beets! Krissy was going to return a dented can but then wanted to return Erich instead, until he offered to be the sister she always wanted.

Krissy and Erich had a marshmallow bath in Yes And…why? Because callbacks are great, like this reference to tonight’s Revolver.

Many villainous plots were stopped by superheroes in Foiled Again! Some of the characters were Lego Mini Man, Melted Plastic Man, T-Rex Arms Man and Playdoh Girl. My personal favorite was Jazz Hands Man.

Jen was late to work in Excuses Excuses. She ended up being late because she overslept, ran out of toothpaste and then had an ingrown toenail. Ouch.

Chris and Jen helped the cast out for Slogans. Some highlights? Freedom: Not just for Tibetans, Rugby: For girls who don’t like boys, and Veterinarians: Because cats and dogs can’t talk back.

In Freeze Tag, old ladies had a regular gym date, Michelangelo painted the devil and Terrell Owens under a desk, and Erich and Joe kept stealing a gold coin memorial for a cat because they were in a real life version of Mario Kart.

The evening ended with Do Run, with a song about Mel Gibson.

Thanks again to all the moms for everything you do!

And scene!

BYOI was back in action tonight for a crazy show at 95 Empire Street. First up we met our FAM for the evening, Rachel. Rachel works in tech support for a local business. She has lived in several states, her favorite being Ohio. Her favorite movie is Little Nicky; her favorite part is everything. Apparently, she also enjoys large cups of beer and needed some cold medicine to be able to be with us tonight.

After our interview, Rachel helped Daniel out with a game of FAM Typewriter. We joined Rachel and a friend at the movies eating popcorn and drinking beer from extremely large cups, but decided that what we really needed to do was go to CVS to find cold medicine. There we met Homeless Steve who was eventually convinced to trade more medicine in exchange for a lease on a house, but only if it had a new kitchen. We also learned that Homeless Steve enjoyed sleeping on toilet paper in the back of the store. Fortunately, Steve was able to bunk in Rachel’s shower, which was already being sublet by another tenant. Believe it or not, it only gets stranger from here.

After a quick warmup from Erich, where we all made animal noises (what sound does a giraffe make?) we played a game of Quick Scenes which included astrophysics, boobs, and other things. From there we moved on to Follow that Action which went from yarmulkes to what goes on to pants pockets with a set of rosary beads up to heaven where Mary, Joseph, and Jesus are prepping for a party. Turns out Jesus just orders bread and wine from the local package store, whose delivery men are beset by the foibles of numerous biblical figures.

Now that we’ve secured our place in the hereafter, the only logical thing to do was celebrate with a game of party quirks. Erich had his hands full trying to guess that Evan needed babies, Ryan was made of noodles, and I needed curtain hangers. We ended the first half with remake, where we put together a brand new Hollywood film, 22 Jump Street, about the cops who lived next door to the ones at number 21. As if that wasn’t scary enough, we remade it as a horror movie and an anti-drug film.

After the intermission, we learned a quick lesson in calling back references in previous scenes with Yes and That’s How It’s Done. Then we moved on to our brand new game, Foiled Again! Our cavalcade of costumed heroes vied with a variety of villainous fiends. Krissy joined us as we met the French Connection, Carpet-Matches-the-Drapes Man, and the Toe Tapper. I think this game might be a keeper!

No time to dwell on that now; we’ve got to go shopping at the Everything Emporium. Evan had to help us find a bracelet made of snakes, a drunken elephant, and a belt that can scratch any itch. Quite a shopping list! I hope Medusa will be pleased with my selection!

Many things then walked into a bar, including Little Nicky, Ohio, Sean Connery, and the Bible. Many puns were made and groans expressed! But we bravely moved on to a game of Six Pack, where I tried to repair my Robot Soccer rival Daniel, Evan and Ryan encountered problems with their ceiling fan in Zambia, and Erich and Paul tried to fly their Sopwith Camel out of mine. Hopefully they checked the bathroom before embarking!

After all that wackiness, we finished up strong with a game of Curtain Call. We sung about animals, astrophysics, the ever-popular silence, and vomiting which ultimately led us back to drinking beer from big cups!

Thanks to our great audience for coming out tonight! Looking forward to our Mother’s Day show to finish out the weekend!

And scene!

Maureen was our FAM for the evening and we kicked things off with Sing It, loosely based on her life story. And by loosely I mean we started a new computer dating site inspired by Maureen’s chance encounter with Mark Zuckerberg’s visit to Harvard which caused a minor whirlwind in her office, lost a variety of limbs to an evil cat lady, and met a super-oversharing mom.

Brooks warmed us up with a stretching and shouting routine, and then we went straight into a game of questions, en francais, where we discovered that Liz and Anthea have some language skills and Nate’s teenage daughter is getting into trouble, somewhere over on the other side of the world, which could only be discovered through the interwebs, that series of tubes. Did someone say floppy disk?

Nate hosted a game of New Born, where mama Daniel was the Great Wall of China and proud papa Brooks was an array of Sacha Baron-Cohen characters, who were cooing over their dear baby Herbie the Love Bug. Things get crazy in the People’s Republic of… Cambridge. To end the first half of our show, we played Movie Critics, inspired by the events of teenage Frasier. Frasier at the prom? Just about as over-analyzed as you would imagine. And you know who showed up? Fabio. Yes.

Our second half started with a round of Yes And… focused on the call back. Where we called back some crazy cat lady non-animal lovers. Then we played our NEW GAME, Foiled Again. We’re still getting the hang of this one, but our supervillanous Worldman and Mr. Potatohead did some serious foiling.

I hosted Dating Game, where Nate got to choose from three lovely bachelorettes, a negative charge, a spaceship, and Dr. Ruth. While the negative charge certainly wouldn’t make a good date, Daniel’s physical attraction to the other ions in the room was hilarious. Nate ultimately chose the spaceship, and they blasted off into the sunset. Famous Last words found out how paper towels and the Enlightenment would be their untimely ends, and our final scenes were in Sit, Stand, Lie Down with a despondent fat bride refusing to walk down the aisle.

We capped things off with Do Run (I told you, lots of singing this week) singing a romantic tune that you had to hear to believe. We’ll be back this Thursday with another Cambridge show and hopefully more singing!

And Scene!

You may have gone to a certain movie featuring superheroes, but you could have gotten your superhero fix with us too. Krissy was the super host, and she was joined by Daniel, Erich, Evan and Paul. Joe stopped by and played some games as well.

Krissy knew her stuff and went through the fastest RESPECT ever, and then it was onto the FAM. Renee is Erich’s beautiful wife. She’s a social worker and specializes in childrens’ protection. She said teenage girls are the hardest to work with, which the cast had fun with. Renee and Erich are coincidentally expecting a little girl in the fall. Renee lived in France for high school and would like to travel to Australia alone if she were to win the lottery—after Erich took his half of the winnings, of course. She went to see that superhero movie over the weekend, not for Iron Man, but for Robert Downey Jr and his character Tony Stark. When she was growing up in Iowa, she wanted to be an advertising executive until she found out it would require manure.

In FAM Say It Again, Renee had the bell to make our cast change their lines. Paul’s date dumped him and he had to ask Evan to go see the inside out sequel of The Truth About Cats and Dogs, which would put the audience inside the actors. Much better than 3D, right? Next, Daniel suddenly became Robert Downey Jr, which made Krissy want to date him. Unfortunately for her, he wasn’t interested because of the smell of pizza in her nose. The guys then taught Krissy how to eat in ways other than the usual way, before they all went to a 4H…no, 6H…no, 7H protest with one glittery sign and 6 nonglittery ones.

Krissy warmed up the audience with a fun activity: imitating all of the Avengers.

Joe and audience members Chris and Andrea joined the cast for Chainsaw. The game started with a grave digger at a Dunkin Donuts with a lawn mower. In typical Chainsaw fashion, things turned out way different.

In Alphabet, Krissy was having a baby boy and naming him Rita instead of George, and venom-cats were under the house. Xanadu was played in Zimbabwe, and Evan reeeeally liked Robert Downey Jr.

Paul played Marriage Counselor to troubled couple Erich and Joe. Erich couldn’t stop passing notes, and Joe had to keep soap in his pockets. Together, they couldn’t stop telling the other to shut up. Paul tried to help them with their communication issues, but Erich walked out.

Evan and Erich taught a lesson in “yes and” in…Yes And…what an appropriate lesson!

Krissy introduced our new game, Foiled Again. Basically, two lines form on stage. A superhero has to name a supervillain, and vice versa, before telling the crowd what dastardly deed would happen and how to stop it. If you’ve been to a show recently, you might think of Saturday Morning Cartoon; they’re similar, but this one was better. Flashback Girl fought Garbage Man, Laserchin Man and Mr. Blinding Left Calf fought, and Crimson Belly Button was foiled by Flamingo Legs.

In Back In My Day, the cast talked about how they didn’t have maternity clothes (only loin cloths), margarine (so Fabio didn’t have a career revival) and gum.

Short Cutz started off with Erich and Paul gossiping about Daniel and Evan at the prom. Next, there was a 3 legged race with one pair featuring a one legged man. Why? Because Krissy was a shark in a ball pit at Chuck E Cheese and eat one of Evan’s legs. After that, Barbie was thrown overboard on a Lego pirate ship. Finally, lawn decorations were having a discussion about love and habitual robbery.

Paul was the lucky one to be eliminated first in Highlander. Eventually, Evan had to do a scene alone about the cast turning French. He waved a white flag and surrendered.

The last game of the night was Curtain Call. With Paul on the guitar, the guys and Krissy sang about great social workers, Renee and Erich having a baby and going nuts, and Erich’s lack of cooking skills.

Don’t forget to check out our new weekly family friendly shows at the New School of Music in Cambridge, MA every Thursday at 7pm. Go check out our shiny new Boston cast! After that, bring your mom down to BYOI next Sunday for our Mother’s Day show. Moms will get free admission!

Good evening from Boston! We have just completed the opening night at the New School of Music (host plug! self high five), and the show went great!

Our very first FAM member, who is in BYOI shows free FOR LIFE, was Shamus. He started the night off by telling us about his perfect day. It started off with drinks at 8 am, of course, at the beach with his musically inclined, and occasionally pale friends. The day finished up with many grilled meats and a rousing viewing of Zoolander. Unfortunately we had to ask about his worst day ever. It involved many trips to terrible stores in the rain, with no help from AAA. He’s right, that would be terrible.

Brooks and Ian started the night off by recreating an awful day in poor Shamus’ life. He made it to the Home Depot in the rain, with his trusty and ever present side-kick. This premise was remade as a homemade documentary. It was artsy and totally Spurlock. The finally remake was horror. It was terrifying and will haunt my dreams forever… la la la…. la la la

After Brooks warmed up the crowd, Ian hosted a game of “What Are You Doing?”. The theme was activities at the beach… which somehow included climbing a tree and giving a massage. It worked, trust me.

Daniel was up next hosting a game of 4-Pack. The first scene was an obsessive turkey carver and his concerned child. The second scene was a poor mother protecting her toeless daughter from Old Man Winter. Spring saved both scenes.

Anthea kicked off a game of Madam Daniel Zelda. The spirits led Madam Zelda to correctly predict Anthea’s wish that was coming true that night, her trip to Cancun to party with MTV Spring Break and her hundreds of grandchildren. Let’s just say Madam Zelda and her spirits need to get on the same page.

Nate had a chance to host the Growing and Shrinking game next. It kicked off with a lonely crooner on a guitar, who morphed into a duck hunter in the Serengeti, that turned into a chain gang arguing over stealing CD’s when MP3′s are clearly the way to go. This changed to a poor woman who was being plungered off of the ground. She turned into a statue being moved by complete morons, who knew quite a bit about Feng Shui. It was not at all confusing. Not. At. All.

After the Intermission and a rousing game of Yes And with Daniel and Nate, Brooks brought us to the Serious Game. We tackled infidelity, the gout, widgets and clown bosses. All very serious, of course.

Nate made quick work of Timmy in the Well next. He guessed Abraham Lincoln gambling in the freezer almost immediately. Nate is super smart. And handsome.

We heard the story of Zac (not Efron) the skinny young man who wanted to gain 1000 pounds, but was thwarted over and over by Mr. Tomato. Nealy all of the storytellers died before the end. When the dust cleared, we found out that Zac left his Winnebago at the Grand Canyon to become a Scientologist. The end.

There were 2 games of Pillars next. They involved imagination, science, laundromats, talking poison, electrical cables and made up Greek words.

We ended our inaugural show with Sing It. I’m pretty sure 11 songs were sung, from motown, to metal, to jazz, to country to an AWESOME rap (shoutout to James).

It was a great night. An historic night. A great beginning. Especially with Handsome Nate there. Toodles everyone.

AND SCENE!

The Warwick Museum of Art was the place to be for BYOI’s family friendly show. Evan was the host, and was joined by Paul, Daniel and surprise cast member Joe.

The evening’s FAM was Renee, who is a BYOI regular. She has a twin sister but came to the show alone. Renee went to UMASS Dartmouth first for engineering, then for economics. She was fascinated by space when she was a child, and loved Saturn because of its rings. Ever the smart lady, she is writing her second novel.

Renee was the pillar for FAM Pillar. The guy had a pencil fight in Boston, had neighbors with loud music, fought over the number of people at a party, and didn’t want to be an orangutan at an octopus party.

Next, Paul warmed everyone up by taking them through an evening on Facebook.

Audience member Andrea joined Renee and the men for Try That On For Size. Paul ran out of things to say and Renee had a bad nose job. As usual, Joe lasted the longest.

Daniel gave the prompt “space time continuum” for Sit, Stand and Lie Down. Paul, Evan and Joe were nerds fighting about splitting the rent. The argument ended when they realized the ceiling was leaking and their neighbor may have drowned.

Paul was trying to send pictures to his mother in Catch Phrase. Daniel and Joe weren’t much help with their constant asking about the bathroom and elephants.

Evan was the criminal in Good Cop, Bad Cop. Joe and an overly caffeinated Daniel eventually got him to admit that he took a nap with Garfield the cat in the cupboard under the stairs.

After the break, Paul and Daniel had a silent canoe trip in Yes And…

Andrea joined Paul and Evan in Say It Again, where Daniel had fun making them say everything again. A dog ate a sandwich, then Evan ate a Lego sandwich before we learned that calculus is great for you.

Daniel was interviewed by his castmates in Press Conference. He was there to announce that he, the Keebler elf, had invented a price scanner.

We learned about a comet, a rake, and Titanic 3D, among other things, in Slogans.

In Meanwhile, Evan demanded all green M&Ms and a poodle named Sally or else he wouldn’t help out with an antibullying speech. The guys jumped to the pet store where they picked a poodle to test electrocution, then Sarah MacLachlan’s house. She was writing a new hit song about being in the arms of David Hasselhoff. This of course jumped to the beach so we could witness the subject of the song on the because carrying puppies and kittens with the former Governator. Somewhere along the line, a stalker died and the body was placed on a Twister board to make the chalk outline more fun.

The night ended with Sing It. Renee yelled for Daniel and Paul to sing before a word was uttered. This led to a silent scene (look back at Yes And’s lesson) which included sound effects and stomping, before Evan came in to sing about stealing their stuff…twice! Next, there was a debate about whether or not Joe was trustworthy enough to be sent on a secret mission. The men sang about “the frabric of our relationship” with emphasis on the word that’s not really a word.

If you’re free this Thursday at 7pm, go check out the new regular show at the New School of Music in Cambridge, MA. The Boston cast will be joined by shiny new members.

And scene!

Tonight’s show was a very special birthday show for Kerri! For those of you who don’t know Kerri, she runs the door for our BYOI shows faithfully every weekend! (Except tonight – thanks Chris!) And if you don’t know her, you should get to know her because she’s awesome.

After the cast and audience trekked up a few flights of stairs, host Daniel began the night by going over RESPECT. He was shortly joined and outnumbered by an entire cast of ladies – Anthea, Erin, and myself. If you want to see more lady comedy, be sure to check out our Ladies Night show this summer when our final female cast member, Stephanie, returns from London!

The show jumped right into our FAM interview and low and behold Kerri’s name was strangely in the cup more than once… looks like the audience wanted to see her on stage! After an intensive interview, we learned that Kerri’s middle name is Danielle, she is called an evil bill collector on a daily basis (along with other insults we won’t get into….), and she is a big fan of Christmas. We also learned she loves Dr. Who and Harry Potter – and is a big enough fan to have the vanity license plate HRYPTR. In an interesting twist, we learned that if Kerri could go any “when” in time, she would choose the 80s because of the music. Daniel reminded her that she could simply have bought an 80s CD instead, but that wouldn’t be as fun, would it?

“Love Snape” was the audience suggestion for our first game, Highlander. After Daniel entered doing his best physical Snape impression, I felt inspired by the 80s and sang a rendition of the B52’s “Love Shack” as “Love Snape, baby love Snape!” Daniel then became Professor Snape teaching a class about the 80s. Erin and Anthea entered as confused students, and soon weapons, drugs, and bell bottoms found their way into the scene. In a twist of fate Daniel was voted off first, and the three ladies were left to complete the scene, this time with more pelvic thrusting and references to going commando. Anthea and Krissy were voted off next, leaving Erin to complete the scene alone. From this point on the “Snape dance” became a reoccurring action throughout the rest of the night.

I warmed the audience up by having them sing happy birthday to Kerri while doing their best Snape impression.

Next we played Pavlovian Response. Daniel played Pavlov, and had to do a “Snape dance” whenever someone put their hands on their hips. Erin had to bark whenever anyone took a step, and audience member Beth had to do jumping jacks whenever someone stuttered or said umm. The scene took place in a doctor’s office, but none of them could read the name of the doctor they were waiting for. But they did move around a lot!

Tableau found our cast and audience member Kate posing as a birthday (complete with questionable adult presents), hungry babies (including a scary adult gerber baby), Christmas (with Santa getting stuck in the chimney) and the 80s (with Madonna and Kerri confused as to why she chose the 80s after all). It was a good time.

Revolver was after that in the lineup, with Erin, Anthea, myself, and audience member Beth playing. After a bit of a confusing start I wound up as a bill collector who had glued their hands to their head while Anthea convinced me that it would interfere with my job. Other scenes included Beth receiving an interesting present from her mother (it was a vase, I swear!) and the country of London calling the United States for a chat… if only the US could understand her thick accent. The fourth scene was “mundane” and about corn muffins and other delicious things.

Timmy in the Well was our next game, where I had to guess that Mr. Ed was abducted by aliens in a casino. After listing off Foxwoods, Mohegan Sun, Canada, the rail road, and countless other locations, I finally realized what the term broader meant and came to the conclusion of “casino”. Horses don’t belong in casinos!

After a brief intermission, Daniel and I gave a lesson on how silence is not always a bad thing in a scene involving the “Snape dance”, fun house mirrors, and whomping willows.

Pillars was next, and audience member Mitchell and Kerri volunteered to be pillars. Erin, Anthea, and myself were three sisters having a soufflé themed Thanksgiving dinner. I invited our mom to the event on facebook, but Anthea realized our mom didn’t have facebook since her default photo was just a cartoon character. We discussed curtains, Bark the next door neighbor’s dog, freshly baked aluminum platters, and our dad’s squirrel hunting escapades in Furry, Nebraska. It was an interesting family holiday.

One of Kerri’s favorite games, Chainsaw, started with an occupation: firefighter, location: hell, and object: litter box, but wound up turning into astronauts, the opera, Disney movies, skunks, and puking babies along the way.

Worlds Worst consisted of secret service agents, garbage men, cobblers, and bill collectors (“I’ve come to eat your babies”). Foot fetishes and Mr. Ed also made their way into the lineup.

Meanwhile began in a heated discussion about the height of heels that strippers should be allowed to wear. Other animal related scenes included Sarah McLachlan narrating animal planet (complete with Daniel’s new rendition of “I Will Remember You”) and the life of a violent Indian tiger that could not get a green card and went to jail. Next our cast brought us to family dinner in Furry, Nebraska where squirrels not only can talk, but can also hallucinate after eating the wrong kind of mushrooms. Next the religious association of America vowed to take down Nebraska, Poseidon missed out on striking down earthlings because he missed the invite on facebook, and the little mermaid ended in a very dark twist.

The final game of the night was Do Run, where our cast sang about Dr. Who, traveling in time, and whether David Tennent is hot… or not?… wait what?!

A very happy birthday again to Kerri, thank you so much for all you do for BYOI! And a special thank you to Anthea for the delicious cupcakes!

And Scene!

Before I start the recap, I need to welcome back Cam and Frank. They’re regulars, and we missed them for 6 months.

On to the recap. Joe was the host, joined by Daniel, Krissy and Paul. After the usual RESPECT, Chris was picked as the FAM.

Chris is a regular audience member and participant. He’s a RI transplant by way of Jersey. In 10 years, he hopes to own a house by the water and be a director at his workplace. Chris is dating our wonderful Krissy, so Daniel threw an interesting question out: If he had $1 million to spend on a date with Krissy, what would he do? Chris said he’d take her on a trip around the world. Unfortunately, there was a stipulation: once he goes to sleep, the date is over. Sounds like a fast, sleep deprived trip around the world.

Krissy and Chris hosted FAM Movie Critics, reviewing the tragic comedy about Chris being in RI. Chris suddenly woke up after a 10 year slumber, to the warm weather of AZ, an old girlfriend and his old job still waiting for him. For the record, old Krissy (played by Joe), didn’t look that old. Things changed during his sleep, like touchscreens and thumb drives made of T-Rex thumbs at work. In a surprise twist, the film ended with a battle between a T-Rex and dolphins. I know, it was out of left field. That’s the beauty of improv!

Daniel was inspired by the last scene and warmed everyone up with dinosaur imitations.

Paul was the shopkeeper of the Everything Emporium. Thankfully, he had a toaster that freezes food, a rake that walks away and an air freshening carburator.

One of the audience members jumped up to join the cast for Rope. They fought back llamas, left cheetos on the couch and caught bricks.

Krissy may or may not have been Queen Elizabeth in Questions. It was a bad time to get fired and it’s always a bad time to get poison ivy in the eye. Paul may have given Joe incorrectly battered onion rings. That’s the beauty of this game; there’s never a concrete answer.

Daniel was the angel and audience member Renee was the devil in Angels and Demons. Paul and audience member Liz mimed the story of railroad workers, a proposal to a commonlaw wife who had a conjoined twin, and a meteor.

After the break, Joe and Krissy were best friends in an awful situation in Yes And…

Daniel and Renee ran over a squirrel while driving to New Jersey in Lines From a Hat. This was followed by Paul and Liz discussing Christmas music in July while Daniel, Joe and Krissy hummed carols on the side. Best line from the hat/cup? “My best friend is that dumpster.”

Audience member Andrea was a lamp at Daniel’s party in Party Quirks. She was joined by Paul as Paul Bunyan and Krissy, who mimed being stuck in a box anytime someone touched their face.

The cast and Chris threw out some fabulous lines in Famous Last Words. Some topics were a spatula, an alarm clock and Winnie the Pooh.

Krissy, Joe and Renee were in a cockpit during Sit Stand and Lie Down. Renee was the scariest pilot ever, having taken a one day piloting course online. Eventually, she caught Krissy’s narcolepsy and the plane went down.

Short Cutz was a blast. Furby was eaten by a robot dog, and Joe was fired as a meteorologist for getting a birthday wrong. You see, it’s okay to get the weather wrong, but you can’t say a 60 year old is 100. Elves were retired or on vacation and were forced to work. Joe and Krissy danced on a volcano, to the chagrin of Paul and Andrea. Fondue for 400 was being made one pot at a time, and a first date to Best Buy led to a 3 for 1 special on 120 inch televisions.

Finally, Irish Song ended the night…twice! Round 1 was a fun song about Dubai, and round 2 was about the 4th of July.

Check out the schedule and try to check out some new Boston shows.

And scene!

We started off with our FAM Courtney. Courtney was actually a veteran regular from back in our Spot on Thayer days. She is a Math teacher, who hates that her kids are always truant and always wishes she could go into space. We started off with Highlander where a trip in space resulted in all the Tang being drank, an only orbit flight and ended in the wrong way to get some air. Once again the warm-up curse, Ryan won and then had to warm us up. So he decided to go La-Z-Boy shopping and found us a chair that was just right.

Then we played Pillars and found out that if your neighbor adopts monkey children, that you might want to watch out when they start performing paintball witchcraft. In What Are You Doing we learned that teens cannot drive and that you can never have too much underwear. In everything Emporium we found an un-honest abe, a talking Mt. Rushmore and remote with the number 10 on it. Catch phrase found Ryan stuck between very messy roommates he just moved in with and finally we sang a song about a dog with an identity crisis in Do Run. A great show for a great cause. Thank you to the foundation for letting us be a part of it.

And Scene!
