FAM2 062714We’re back for the last show of the evening at the Warwick Museum of Art! Once again, we had Ian, Daniel, David, Josh and Amy. This show’s FAM was Ciara, who is one of our regulars. She left her boyfriend at home to watch the Red Sox and came out with friends to see us. Ciara likes books if they’re nonfiction and told us a story about her recent trip to Boston and its strange flavored chocolates. In FAM Centerpiece, fluffy roses were hard to pick but looked great on TV and Big Bird read a very bad book.

Tableau opened of audience participation, and Rose gladly joined in! We saw pictures of a baseball game, a picnic and the history of the world. Growing & Shrinking was next, where Michaelangelo’s small fig leaf was life-sized, Tigger was put down and the Justice Leage was complete. Lines From a Cup had Daniel, Ian and Gordon doing a scene in the library. A chemistry book fell while the library was on fire which made the crime of the century. World’s Worst had lines about toothbrushes, Mr. Man and musicals.

In Party Quirks, Ian had a difficult time figuring out his guests. Amy couldn’t keep her shoes on, Josh had multiple personalities and Daniel was the circus that was coming to town. Next up was Questions, with Gordon and Rose also playing. They tasted choclates (and David!), needed a new therapist and learned that all Wahlbergs look alike. However, they never asked about Daniel’s mother! The night ended with Highlander, where Lt. Man was in a foxhole for the first time. While he had new socks, he didn’t have a gun, so he had to use an axe. David, Amy and Josh were out first, and Ian finished the night off strong!

FAM1 062714Hey there! It’s time for BYOI’s family friendly show at the Warwick Museum of Art! Tonight we have Ian, Daniel, Amy, David and Josh. The FAM was Alexis, who had some pretty awesome aviator goggles on. She’ll be going into the 4th grade in the fall, where she loves writing. Alexis wants to be an equestrian and wants to visit her cousins in Maryland soon. In FAMlander, the cast had funky glasses and gave giant coconuts to giant horses. Amy, David and Ian were the all voted off, so Josh had to perform alone in the end.

Action Figures started off the night, with audience members Amelia and Linda moving David and Ian around. David was concerned about his hair, so Ian started coloring in his head with markers. In Sports Commentator, Ian and audience member Rob recapped the World Dishwashing Championship. Daniel and audience member Chris didn’t have much strategy. They juggled and licked dishes, and Daniel couldn’t count. Next up was Madame Zelda, where Josh needed help from spirits Daniel, Amy and audience member Allie. Eventually David learned that he would get his foot run over by a car before winning an Academy Award and making a fortune as a watermelon farmer.

Story, Story, Die had the cast along with audience members Emily, Rose and Chris telling a crazy tale. It included expired antacids, licking a bear and a glorious dark day! In Guidance Counselor, Ian helped David, Daniel and Emily out with their problems like failing math and dealing with furballs. Two Headed Monster was next with David and Gordon playing the monster. They joined Josh at the Maryland Chamber of Commerce and had a blast making his life difficult. The show ended with Do Run, where there was nothing to sing about until everyone was inspired by Alexis.

20140627_184914Tonight at the Youth Collective show we have Emily, Allie, Dylan, Rose and Rob and our FAM tonight Chris who likes pasta, oak trees and baseball. We begin with Highlander where Rob had to cut down the bendy stiff tree and be the tree all at the same time.

Next up is Sit, Stand and Lie down where Safaris are too hot and pancake batter fixes everything. Then in Centerpiece, Allie has to do four scenes ranging from conjoined twins in Vegas to a babysitting hoarder. Greatest line was “That’s how a children works!” In Spelling Bee, Fire burns and “double L” is now a letter. In Newborn, Paul Bunion and a DeLorean have a baby Mt. Rushmore. Finally our famous Disney villain ate dog in the song Do Run!

20140617_115411We were in North Kingston at an elementary school for show one of two with Alex, Krissy and myself! This end of the year celebration had our FAM Ellie as the star. She likes swimming, Despicable Me and wanted to be a cashier when she grew up.

So we started with Highlander where the pool was scary and cold, but Krissy had to swim all by herself. Next Two Headed Monster gave us a cashier who did not like her vegetables. In Good Cop/Bad Cop Krissy drank Apple Juice in Alaska with Batman. We found many chickens in Trolley Stop, cleaned our bed with a vacuum in Action Figures and that five is not a five letter word in Spelling Bee. Great show, now for round two!

In round two we had Danny who loved architecture and the second Hobbit movie. So once again in Highlander we went on a great journey to build things with all of our tools and just two rocks. But Danny saved the day doing the whole scene by himself.

Next up was Two Headed Monster where our coach needed to teach more basketball skills. Then in Good Cop/Bad Cop had Krissy eating Ice Cream in a Volcano with Marco Polo. Trolley stop brought ballerinas and dizzying creatures. Followed by Action Figures where this time Krissy and I had to make the bed, but we did it holding hands. Finally in Spelling Bee we learned that the definition of square is “four sided cheese.”

Thanks for having us North Kingston! Want us at your school? Book us now!

FAM2 061314We’re back for the 9pm show at the Warwick Museum of Art! We lost David for the night, but we still had Daniel, Ian, Josh, Candice and Amy! This show’s FAM was Stephen, who is majoring in theatre and is a baseball umpire. He loves socializing and meeting new people, especially if they have morbid senses of humor. Someday he wants to visit Syndey, Australia, because it has all the sports. In FAM Typewriter, Daniel and Stephen wrote about Stephen’s life. He met the girl next door, Sandra from Sydney, who happened to have a Canadian accent. Later he played rugby with Josh and Skeletor until Skeletor made a move on Sandy. In the flashback toward the end, we learned that Stephen’s grandmother had a Jamaican accent and started a bobsled team.

Sit, Stand and Lie down had Candice, Josh and audience member Rose as Bob, Bob and Billy Bob as they met people. The weather was perfect on the floor and they learned how to do the Michael Phelps moonwalk. Fortunately/Unfortunately had Amy and Rose telling the story of Ian and audience member Sara. They were a 2 person rugby team travelling to the US. They witnessed injuries and death in a town that gave a prize for the fullest outhouse.

In Catch Phrase, Josh had his hands full at the bar. Daniel just wanted to leave but kept offering words of encouragement, while FAM Stephen was looking for a date. Famous Last Words taught us about the last words of a squirrel, Napoleon, a kangaroo and the Eiffel Tower. Next up was Madame Zelda, where Candice told Daniel his fortune. Thankfully spirits Ian, Amy and Stephen helped her learn that Daniel would save a dog, his turtle would catch a disease and he’d become the king of Saturn.

Meanwhile had the cleanest insides ever and we went to the offices of buttface.com and facebutt.com. Finally, the cast was joined by Stephen and Rose for Debate Club. We learned that meteorologist means “liar” because climate change doesn’t blame zombies, no one but Ian cares about Celsius, no one in New England has a religion, Amy got sunburned in Canada and everyone challenged each other’s challenges.

FAM1 061314It’s 7pm, so it’s time for the family friendly show at the Warwick Museum of Art! Daniel, Josh, David, Amy, Candice and Ian were on hand for the show. The FAM was Lisa, who works with special needs adults in a group home. She loves swimming, the zoo and goofing around with her kids. In FAM Sing It, the cast cleaned different parts of a lion cage and made a giant slide that the lion was suddenly sitting atop.

For Try That On For Size, the cast was joined by audience members Catie, Leia and Jacob as they sheared sheep, mashed grapes and cut cake with grace. In Alphabet, the cast was joined by audience members Rose and Emily. They had mixed feelings about working on a mountain and met a dog that liked to eat silk. Story, Story, Die took place at a group home for cats. They had catnip and dreams of dancing mice and met larger cats at the zoo. As the story went along, the cast along with audience members Rob and Jacob were knocked out and the victor was Kent!

Good Cop/Bad Cop had Ian and Rose interviewing Josh for the horrendous crime of goofing off in Walmart with Abraham Lincoln. Next up was Six Pack, with audience members Emily and Hillary rounding out the pairs. Everything was sunny in a room of puppies, gunslinging cowboys dazzled their way to forgiveness and hats were made for all occasions! Serious Scene had Daniel as the very serious director. He constantly fired the cast as well as audience members Rob, Rose and Jacob. The game featured a square with 3 points, complicated hopscotch and cannon blasts. The last game of the night was Curtain Call, where ducks were great and Candice loved the kitty group home.

wpid-20140613_185154.jpgIt’s a rainy flooded Friday night and we are starting the night off with BYOI’S Youth Show! Alexia, Rob, Dylan, Rose and Emily got us going with our FAM Kathie! She works at Burger King, hates serving time, loves Elsa and hates Cruella Deville.

We began with Say It Again where we found new coats made of all sorts of things. Highlander found Rob doing a scene about speeding chickens and holes in the floor. We found the musical car repair shop and a lovely tune about fixing the windshield. At the Trolley Stop they had a big hand… or hands. And finally Busta Rap where Alexia showed she was a master crook!
