FAM2 032715We’re back for the last show of the night at the Warwick Museum of Art, with David, Cyn, Ian, Candice, Alex W & Josh! The show’s FAM was Nancy, who is a financial advisor. She came to the show with her family to celebrate Riley’s birthday. Happy birthday, Riley!! She likes running and hanging out with her family. In FAM Pack, Citizen Kane needed help with his finances, a dog was training for a show and David had combover pasta hair.

Try That On For Size had a special appearance by Alex L & James, as they fried eggs, danced the monkey and moved pets. In the Troubadours, we followed the life of Art, who was punctually challenged and had a few loves. In Madame Zelda, David had help from spirits Candice, Josh and Cyn as they told him Ian would need surgery, would encounter a beluga whale and would eat his own ear. Next up was Meanwhile, with Daniel and Amy jumping on stage. They were supposed to be nice to Virginians and didn’t know how to catch on the ball field.

In Greatest Hits, audience member Jessica introduced her album, with great songs like “Squirrel Bang Bang” and “The Day I Got Dewormed”…it was an eclectic mix of songs! Cyn was the picky director for Serious Scene, which had the cast as a very very strange family. The night ended with Irish Ditty, where no one could twerk at the factory.

FAM1 032715It’s Friday night, so it’s BYOI time at the Warwick Museum of Art! David, Josh, Ian, Cyn, Candice and Alex W were the cast for the night. The family friendly show’s FAM was Chelsea, who is a local 10th grader. She loves science, especially chemistry, and came to BYOI with some of her friends. In FAM Sing It!, Chelsea rang the bell at the right time every time, so the cast had to sing about things like Farmer Bob’s chickens and how to stop eating chicken food.

Trolley Stop started off the audience participation with audience member Charlotte playing. We met Oompa Loompas, cowboys, ballerinas and heartbroken Zayn fans. After that, it looked like we needed advice, so Candice decided to help everyone in Guidance Counselor! James was a student whose face was shaped like an avocado, Cyn was a math teacher whose students kept cheating on tests and Josh was the lunch lady upset about people stealing peas. For Timmy In the Well, Alex needed his dogs to let him know that Elton John’s jacket was stuck in the door of a phone booth. Thankfully, David, Cyn and audience member Daniel were able to communcate that in dog speak.

Two Headed Monster was next, with Ian and audience member Carolyn as the monster. They were working at a clumsy pizza place with Alex. From there, we traveled back in time for Back In My Day, with the cast joined on stage by audience members Emily, Wayne and Mya. We learned what was around before cars, sushi and horror movies. In Ian’s day, they only had horror plays! In Helping Hands, Gordon and one of the audience members moved around Candice and Josh as they manipulated animals. We ended the show with Irish Ditty!

Story Story Die took us back in time to 1912 when the hottest music videos featured toenail clipping. Say it Again told the story of Sponge Bob productions featuring Rocky the pet rock. Finally Irish Ditty sang about how hard it is to rhyme album.

We will miss these guys, but we will see them again in June for Summer Session 1!

20150320_200641It’s 7:00 at the Warwick Museum of Art and that means it’s time for BYOI’s family-friendly show! Tonight our cast was Josh, Alex W., James, Amy, and Alex L. and our Featured Audience Member was Qian. She’s a home school junior who likes guitar, acting, dancing, pandas, and Paris (for the short, angry Frenchmen). Our first game of the night was Say It Again which was all about a dancing guitar. Next up was Quickest Minute where our cast re-enacted the film “Confessions of a Shopaholic” – which they’d never seen – in increasingly short intervals. This was followed by Centerpiece which featured scenes involving giving paint guns to pandas, pajama parties, home, and angry Frenchmen.

Press Conference was next, where Katniss Everdeen revealed to the world that she invented McDonald’s. This was followed by Short Cuts, which featured earthworms “sanitized for your safety.” Up next was Greatest Hits, which featured the hit songs “Pasta La Vista”, “Poetic War Dogs”, and “Spidernado”. Then we played Growing & Shrinking Machine which featured the fastest worm in the West. Our last game of the night was Irish Ditty, where we discovered that the reward for earning an A+ is that you get to practice your twerking.

FAM2 031315We’re back for the last show of Friday the 13th at the Warwick Museum of Art! Once again, we had Candice, Cyn, Amy, Daniel and both Alexes on stage making everyone laugh. The show’s FAM was Jennifer, who is the city planner in Woonsocket. She loves Bill Murray movies, which makes her awesome, and came to the show with her husband, Gary. Jennifer and Amy hosted FAM Movie Critics, which followed Jennifer on atrip to Argentina. It had martinis at the airport arrival gate, poisoned roses and gladiator ballroom dancing.

Trolley Stop had a cast of characters waiting for the train, like monkeys, robots and Bill Murray. Six Pack was next, with audience members Eddie and Heath joining in. Yoga class had people needing to be the relish and Amy had all the babies! Interrogation Lineup had the cast and audience member Kate as a bunch of criminals who played saxophone in a pool of blood with Louis Armstrong. Oh, the humanity! Lines From a Cup was next, Daniel, Alex W and audience member Tanya on a boat…until they jumped ship.

Famous Last Words introduced us to the last words of Chevy Chase, General Tso’s chicken and the Block Island Ferry. Next up was Highlander, with the BYOI ladies and audience member Heath trying to put together a Lego set from Ikea. Heath is a very brave soul, because he jumped into the game without knowing he might have to play more than one round. He was great and did so well, he was the lone survivor who had to perfom the last round alone. Have a meatball, everyone! The night ended St. Patrick’s Day style with Irish Ditty, with the cast singing about languages and learning.

FAM1 031315Happy Friday the 13th from BYOI and the Warwick Museum of Art!! It was definitely a strange night, because we had Alex Squared and all of our ladies! That meant BOTH Alexes and Daniel were on stage, along with Amy, Candice and Cyn. The show’s FAM was Bob, who’s “just one of the guys” and does maintenance at a local school. He loves being outside and hanging out with his church friends, and is a super sweet dad. Why? He’s the only person to ever say he’d bring his daughter, Olivia, to save the world, so they could do it together. In FAM Revolver, he ornaments were hung on a trapezoidal Christmas tree and Alex got a touchdown in hopscotch.

Tableau was the first game for the audience to participate in, and Rose was brave enough to play. We saw a front lawn, a basketball game and a magical place called Gnomemania. In Catch Phrase, Rose’s friend was inspired to follow her lead and volunteer. She just wanted gold, while Candice was very critical of poor Alex W’s weight. In Pavlovian Response, Cyn, Alex L and Daniel were hunting but the dog ate the birdcall. This was followed by Say It Again, with Amy, Daniel and Alex W at a barbeque restaurant in southern Canada ordering moose and reindeer ribs. It was an awkward blind date and we learned Canadian restaurants don’t serve salad. What’s up with that, Candice?

Story, Story Die had the cast and another brave audience member telling the story of a princess and her trampoline. There was a ton of science talk, jumping forever and tropical peas. Fortunately, Unfortunately was next with Cyn and audience member Trish telling the story of a frog prince waiting for his princess to come and wake him. Candice and audience member Reagyn played the characters with a dilemma–the girl was too young to kiss the frog! The final game of the show was Irish Ditty, with the cast singing about the movie “Rocky” and our FAM Bob!

Up next was Slogans where our cast had to come up with slogans for such things as laptops, chairs, curly fries and underwear.
