FAM2 062615We’re back for the second show of the night at the Warwick Museum of Art! This time we had Cyn, Josh, Candice, Daniel and Ian joined by Alex L!

The FAM was Alex L, since it’s sadly his last show with us! Alex is a project manager for research and development and likes archery in his free time. He’s currently watching “Dexter” because his girlfriend, Nicole, wanted him to get references. They met through a board gaming group! Alex would like to be a Guardian of the Galaxy, specifically Star Lord, and would like to visit Italy for the history. In FAM Growing and Shrinking Machine, Alex taught Daniel to put his back into it, the kids were gossipy and Simba bit Ian!

We started off with Action Figures, while Josh and Alex were moved by Daniel and audience member Jay as they got in shape while visiting Mount Rushmore. Alphabet had the cast with audience members Francis and Emily as they went to a pizza place that had quinoa as a topping. They then visited a bookstore, where Alex was convinced “Lord Of the Rings” should be in the nonfiction section.

Chainsaw was up next with the cast joined by audiencne members Nicole, John Paul and Emily. Candice started off the game as a Jedi inside a coconut with pepper spray but something was lost in translation. In the end, we had an exorcist at a beach with a firework. “Potato Potter” was the subject of Remake, with a stoner main character. It was first redone as a Scooby mystery, and finished as a moody European indie film. This was followed by Busta Rap, with audience members Joseph, Francis and Amber rapping along.

In Trolley Stop, the cast and audience members John Paul, Joseph and Emily made up a bunch of characters like super emotional teens, creepers and vampires. The night ended with Highlander, with the guys fighting over who was Lord of the Stars! After Ian was eliminated, we ended up with two Groots. Next, Alex was elimated, a Wookie was added, and finally, audience member Joseph was eliminated so Josh had to perform alone. Alex, we will miss you! We’ve had a blast with you!

FAM1 062615School’s out! What better way to celebrate than coming to Bring Your Own Improv at the Warwick Museum of Art? We had a very lively show with Candice, Cyn, Josh, Daniel and Ian!

The show’s FAM was Debbie, who works in human resourses for a cemetary. She likes going to the beach and to the movies in her free time. She loves “Star Wars” and wants to ride down a Hawaiian volcano at some point in the future. She delighted everyone by creating the eagle mermaid–which can fly and swim under water! In FAM Sing It! the eagle mermaid wasn’t a jokester and also wasn’t very good at wooing the ladies.

In Try That On For Size, the cast and audience members Emily, Jess and Bennet mowed the lawn with a stick, fed 500 cats and celebrated the end of school. Cyn had her hands full in Catch Phrase, with Candice and audience member Matt. They really needed pencils but were apathetic about it. In Dating Game, Josh was looking for love with Ian the mountain climber, Candice the blender, and Taylor Swift, played by audience member Francis. The cast and audience members Thomas, Jospeh and Emmy were ready for adventure in Questions, and Daniel really wanted free binoculars.

Story, Story, Die had the cast along with audience members Phil, Eric and John Paul telling the story of “Star Wars and the Fox and the Gorilla”. It was a great story of adventure, dirty bathrooms and the good fruit vs. the bad fruit. It ended with an epic battle between the fox and the hound with Ian as the lone survivor! Follow That Action was next, with Emmy, Beckett, John Paul and some crazy cats in rural Nebraska. The show ended with Irish Ditty, where the cast sang about adventures in the pool.

20150626_073952Today, BYOI was at the Trinity Academy for the Performing Arts with Josh, Meredith, Emily, Cyn and Myself performing for their end of the year celebration! Our FAM today was Melanie who is a theatre major, a dance minor, loves to volunteer and want to go to Texas! We began with a game of Sing It where one cow had no interest in being branded.

We moved on to Action Figures where Josh and Myself were moved by two teachers and learned that the only way to build a set is to fall down on the job. Chainsaw found that the President was in Hawaii which became an old man “here”, but miraculously, the banana stayed the banana after becoming so many other things. Alphabet had some great boogie boarding skills and Debate Club taught us that feelings are mutual. And finally Curtain Call saw stuff get salty and sweet!

FAM3 060515Welcome back to the Warwick Museum of Art for our late night show with Amy, Josh, Daniel, Ian and David! Our 9pm FAM was Ashley, who is living the dream! She used to work in orthopedics and loves walks on the beach. She geeks out over “The Bachelor” and loves how future castmembers come from current seasons. If she could have a pet, she’d have a kitten or a koala, but we’ll combine those to be a kittoala! Ashley couldn’t live without a back scratcher, her tv and her bed. I think she has her priorities straight! Ashley came to the show with a few dozen friends, and they had a blast watching her life in FAM Remake! It started off relaxing with a manservant but that wasn’t enough! It needed to be remade “Criminal Minds” style! Finally, the scene was again redone as a zombie thriller musical.

In Try That On For Size, the cat had too many whiskers, field mice were bopped on the head and fingernails were painted 10 times. Thanks to our brave audience members Ryan, Hunter and Lori for volunteering! Daniel and Josh sang a scene in the Troubadours, while the rest of the cast and auidence member Chris acted out. After a Youtube pirate taught his kid the tools of the trade, Bubba ate his playing cards in jail until he was introduced to the insect deli! Chainsaw was next, with a doctor at a barnyard with a cow on a tractor. Not a Farmville farm, Seattle or a mortician, which were some of the guesses from the cast and audience member Josh!

Pillars had Amy and Ian getting inspiration from audience members Jonathan and Sherry. We learned about the life of the kittoala, which gnawed on pencils for fiber and dreamed of happiness and elation. Back In My Day had the cast with audience member Maggie reminiscing about the days before lawyers, giraffes, roller derby, veggie burgers or grave diggers. Josh definitely wasn’t treated with kid gloves in Action Figures, as he and Daniel were moved by audience members Debbie and Donna. They were attempting to make a cake but it got messy with full body karate chops. The night ended with Sing It, with Ashley on the bell! She had fun making the guys sing while they acted out a scene from “The Bachelor” as he prepared to pick his lady.

Thanks to everyone who came out to see us, especially braving the long drive from Connecticut!!
