IMAG5813_1Welcome back to the Warwick Museum of Art for our late night show! We once again had Amy, Meredith, Ian, David, Daniel and Emily on stage. The show’s FAM was Kara, who works as a medical technician with assisted living. She likes listening music, like Jim Brickman, and couponing. Bonus points for free food! She’d like to visit friends in Germany or Switzerland. In FAM Sing It! the cast visited a pig roast.

First up was Tableau, with the cast making pictures of a golf course, Germany and the grocery store. David was picky and didn’t understand the wonder of avocado and chocolate in Questions! Up next was Marriage Counselor, where Meredith had to figure out problems. It ended up Amy was allergic to kangaroos, Emily was hoarding pound cakes and together, they were getting lost in their maze house.

The Museum of Science was the setting for Catch Phrase, where Daniel wanted to know why the sky was blue and David needed to find the restroom. Poor Ian had his hands full! Spelling Bee taught us words like fluffy, koala, orangutan. Growing and Shrinking Machine showed us Aladdin and Jasmine’s marriage problems and the warranty unfortunately ran out. Finally, the cast serenaded everyone in Do Run, as they sang about getting older!

11357375_839117772841029_943188551786000732_o (2)Happy final Friday before school starts! Tonight was a bunch of fun at the Warwick Museum of Art for our family friendly show. Meredith, Emily, Amy, David, Ian and Daniel were on hand to make sure everyone started off the weekend right! Our FAM was Kaylee, who is going into the 10th grade soon. She came to BYOI with her dad and her sister, and was a typical teenager. Kaylee loves “The Walking Dead” and would send the zombies to Las Vegas in her zombie invasion. In FAM Growing & Shrinking Machine, Meredith had road rage, the group went dumpster diving for donuts and “Rainbow Connection” was rewritten.

Emily and Daniel hosted the Getting the Mail Olympics, where Amy was competing against audience member Carolyn. Amy had previously outrun 6 pitbulls but was distracted by the prospect of winning Publisher’s Clearinghouse, and they needed a coin toss to see who won. David was joined by audience members Brynn and Carolyn in The Good, The Bad and the Ugly. They gave great advice, like what to do when hunting (pro-tip: don’t wear a target), how to deal with sibling rivalry and how to survive traffic. New Born was next, where Daniel and Meredith, aka Grand Canyon and Oprah Winfrey, were the proud new parents of baby Cyan Rhinoceros! Thankfully the cast, along with audience member Kevin were able to help them figure everything out.

Two Headed Monster had Emily and Carolyn playing a dual role with David, as they cleaned a rhino. Post It taught us what happens when you make pairs by matching a chariot with the FAM cup, having an accountant meet a bowling ball, and Pizza Hut with a few different things. Highlander was next, with Amy, Ian, Meredith and Carolyn trying to figure out how to win at the slot machines. It turns out, you have to put ingredients in the machine to get chocolate bars! Carolyn’s a pro and did the entire scene 4 times! Debate Club closed out the show, as the cast debated things like construction workers, thesauruses being extinct and Meredith’s lack of cable!!

As summer vacation ends for many, what better way to go out with a punch line! Maddie, Idallis, Ryan and Emmie kicked off Friday night with the Youth Collective show. Dwayne was our FAM. He is a nurse who likes to talk with his patients. This summer he went to Marco Islands with his family where they relaxed and did a whole bunch of nothing. The best gift he has ever recieved was a bike. And he really enjoys the show Mr. Robot. He met his wife in high school during typing class- but didn’t start dating till six years later.

We first started off with Highlander with the whole cast- and featured was the sitting dead to be healed with a donut to be the walking dead. Idallis, Maddie and Emmie then sat, stood, and laid down in Sit, Stand, Lie Down and they were stranded on a beautiful tropical island where the lack of technology was a hinderance to suvival. To sum it up- #firstworldproblems. Maddie then became a marraige counselor for the fun filled guessing game Marriage Counselor. Emmie was afraid of bunnies, and Idallis had too much hair spray. Neither have ever cleaned the bathroom… which is an issue unto itself. In Fameous Last Words the whole cast said the fameous last words of Donald Trump, Brocolli, and a high school student. Next up was Alphlabet and the whole cast had issues inlflating their tires, and repairing antanae on rooves. They laid out some rhymes with Busta Rap for their last game rapping about buff, green trees.

20150822_132529BYOI is at two places at the exact same time this afternoon! We are up at a Bar Mitzvah in Providence (see next post) and we are also down at the Trinity Repertory Theatre performing at the Season Kickoff event! We had a super short show of just one game of Highlander. It was David hosting and Candice, Emily, Myself and our FAM for the show Brian performing a scene about the new office photocopier and it’s cool new feature of replicating party foods… or so we thought. In the end, it was Brian who had to do all four characters by himself!

We had a great time and we loved seeing all of the Rhode Island theatre community in one place! Support the Arts in Rhode Island!

He’s a banker who likes craft beers, pets, soccer, and the U.K. Our first game of the night was Say It Again, which took place in a craft brewery. Sports Commentator was next, where we saw professional-level taking out trash. Then we played Pillars, which featured a scene in a bank, monopolies on shoelaces, and gendered pudding with peanut butter on the back shelf of Ecuador. This was followed by Madam Zelda, where our fortune seeker found out that she would run out of gas, win a lottery of circus cats, and finally become a princess of the mall.

Alphabet was next, and was all about a trip to the U.K., Sriracha sauce in Japan, and Playstations. Then we played Slogans, where we heard exciting new slogans for Ireland, bowling, The Princess Bride, Arkansas, McDonald’s, and underwater basket weaving. Up next was Freeze Tag, which was about leapfrog, pirate captains who’ve lost their peg legs, stoned soccer players, chalk outlines, and snail motivators. Our last game of the night was Debate Club, which started off being about beer, evolved into aging, mine canaries, prostitution, and ended up being about wearing slippers to work.

Up next was Six Pack, which featured scenes about Jedi, aliens, and Harry Potter. This was followed by Famous Last Words, where we heard all about socks, your mother’s refrigerator, Norway, a teddy bear, and Taco Bell. Growing & Shrinking Machine was next, which featured scenes about Jeeps, circus tailors, unsanitary hot dog vendors, doubles tennis, ugly children, and Thor joining the pantheon. Our last game of the night was Busta Rap.

20150821_185424It’s hot outside, but we have AC and YC! The Youth Collective class of Gabby, Maddie, Idallis and Ryan hit the stage tonight with our FAM Jared. Jared is 10th grade which he thinks is better than being a Freshman. He likes science, has a short mom and sister and two dogs that are fluffy and old! So we saw a Day in Jared’s Life where no one could make the height requirement to enter his room.

We then played Try That On for Size, where Idallis had the game all “zipped up.” In Madam Zelda, Idallis then had to guess that her customer was going on vacation, then hit by a poultry truck, and then discover Bigfoot aliens. Next in Debate Club, the Grand Karate Master created Karate in 1945 with two birds and a dog named sniff ball which gained him a green belt which was the man who could speak no language’s favorite color. In Freeze Tag we learned that school is a necessity in life and finally in Spelling Bee a blanket is the large warm fuzzy thing that goes on your head.

FAM9pm 081415We’re back for the late night show at the Warwick Museum of Art with Alan, Ian, Daniel, Meredith, Candice and Alex!

This show’s FAM was Vicki, who is an office manager with some pretty awesome coworkers. She likes “Everybody Loves Raymond” and would love to gamble in Monaco someday. Highlander started off the night with Alex, Candice, Alex and Meredith trying to figure out how to get their candy back from the French. Alan hilariously performed the scene alone in the end. Meanwhile, the cast and audience members Marissa and Lauren visited Germany and clouds in Meanwhile! Interrogation Lineup had Candice and Marissa finding the criminal who dropped chin hair in food at the ice cream parlor with the Hamburgler.

Two Headed Monster had Daniel and audience member Tracy as the fun monster, before the cast played Rope where mac and cheese had gargonzola and Alan killed Art Garfunkel. In Fortunately/Unfortunately, Daniel and Alex told the story of Meredith and Alan’s secret liquor store. The night ended with Busta Rap with Marissa and Lauren rapping along with the cast! The FAM was Kristen, who works at a local hospital. She’s a fan of dancing and impressed Meredith with her tattoos. Her perfect day would consist of a personal assistant, reading, lots of coffee and no work. Kristen would like to visit Ireland someday and is moving to Australia for love and adventure in 2 months! In FAM Day In the Life, the cast acted out Kristen’s life, where she met the love of her life!

In Serious Scene, the cast and audience member Karen attended the awkwardest wake ever. Ian and auidence member Gil hosted Sports Commentator, where Alan tried to compete with audience member Carolyn in the toilet cleaning competition. It turns out she was going to be super busy eating ice cream before turning into a mermaid and finally, having a meteor landing on her and growing another head.
