Thanks for sticking around for the last show of the night at the Warwick Museum of Art! We once again had Meredith, Candice, Josh, David, Emily and Daniel on stage making eveyrone laugh! The late night show’s FAM was Sheila, who is one of our regulars. She works in TV advertising sales, which sounds super fun! She’s the mom of Shane and Tom, who surprisingly get along well. She also loves paddleboarding in the Bay, and wants to be infamous for world peace. Sheila is braver than most, and played FAMlander! She joined David, Meredith and Emily in a scene about end of life planning. I promise it wasn’t as morbid as it sounds. Sheila made it down to the final two, but thanks to a particularly boisterous audience member, Meredith had to ultimately perform alone.

In Action Figures, Daniel and Josh were moved by Meredith and Candice as falafel went down the stairs and they brainstormed on how to get help. Up next was Press Conference, with Josh as Ben Franklin who had just invented a can opener that cooks the can’s contents. Thankfully he had great clues from David, Emily and audience member Shane to help him figure out who he was and what he did! Everyone’s favorite, Lines From a Cup, was next, with Meredith and Josh joined by Shane in a scene in Australila. They discussed a bunch of stuff like food, hopping around and sportsing!

Josh was a model at the paddleboard store in Short Cutz, and a scrappy St. Bernard turned into a well groomed poodle! Somewhere along the line, family ties ended up getting really tangled. The cast and Shane played Blank Walks Into a Bar, where we heard lots of groaners, like “Toast walks into a bar in Amsterdam and gets burnt!” and “The TARDIS walks into a bar and looks for a companion.” In Try That On For Size, David used a scythe to cut the lawn, ¬†Josh scanned hot dogs and Meredith turned bright red! The final game of the night was Curtain Call, with the cast serenading the audience!

Welcome to the family friendly BYOI show at the Warwick Museum of Art! Tonight we had Daniel, David, Meredith, Emily, Josh and Candice on stage! Yay! Our FAM was Zach, who has never been to improv and was super excited! He’s a student at CCRI and is having a blast learning how to save lives in his CPR certification class. He has a bunch of hobbies, and said “Heat” is one of his favorite movies. He also loves open world video games and is having a ton of fun playing Grand Turismo on his PS3, which apparently has 1200 cars! Zach came to the show with his mom, Colleen, who he is very thankful for. FAM Remake was super energetic, with the first remake as a moo-sical, not musical, representation of Zach’s life as he learned CPR. Next up was the horror/western/comedy remake. Don’t worry, y’all!

What Are You Doing? started off the night with the cast and audience members Shane, Addison and one other funny lady doing things like building a space station, turning a bureau into a cat box and driving 6 Corvettes simultaneously. Six Pack had pairs including audience members Gabby and Shane! They tried to not trip over the sleeping kitten, enjoyed dog treats and Karen’s quitting turned a trio into a bitter pair. In Chainsaw, the cast was joined by audience members Carolyn, Rose and Sean. They started off with a veterinarian at a Dave’s Marketplace with a photograph. In typical Chainsaw fashion, everything changed, with thoughts of an artist or doctor at a library or mail room with a selfie stick!

Up next was Guidance Counselor, where Candice was helping Emily, whose smartness was clogging her brains. Meredith was a super stressed mom, and audience member Shane was spending too much time playing video games. Spelling Bee was its usual blast, with the cast joined by Sean, Rose and Addision. Selected words were frog, which blends in with other trees, science and synoposis! Tableau was next, with scenes taking place in Florida, Disney World or a wafflehouse, which had syrup on the floor. The final game of the show was Sing It! with Zach’s mom Colleen on the bell. The cast did a hilarious rendition of Sandra Bullock and George Clooney’s “Gravity” now with Matthew McConaughey.

The first Youth Collaborative show of Fall and the last show of YC 2015 has Gabby, Maddi, Idallis, Ryan and introducing our FAM Liam! Liam is ahead of his math game being in Pre-Calc at 10th grade, plays League of Legends, and if he could have any superpower he would hope to posses the powers of teleportation. Liam wants to visit Japan, and built a robotic car with his dad, and his favorite candy is Skittles. What a show it was starting off with FAM Pillar with Liam as the pillar. Liam provided many necessary words such as candlestick and giraffe to help Ryan, Maddi, Gabby and Idallis with science. Up next was Try That On For Size- and waving to fans turned into opening windows and ballet turned into computers and iPads! Three Lassie’s (Maddi, Idallis, and Ryan) barked for Gabby’s help when someone stole Sir Isaac Newton’s tire to Sir Isaac at the pyramids during Timmy in the Well. The whole cast came up with some new slogans for sweaters and Pupppies – “Sweaters: when you need a hug and there’s nobody to hug ” and “Puppies: Because kittens are over rated.” I don’t know about you, but I think these kids have a future in advertising! In Sports Commentator Daniel and Ryan hosted the International Picking up the Dog Pop Championships and Maddi and Gabby squared off in a grueling match. Idallis was there to see it all as the on the field reporter asking the tough questions. For the last game of the night, the whole cast told a story about League of Legends’ beast character for Story, Story, Die. AND SCENE!

20150919_182711What’s this? A BYOI Show on a Saturday? You got it! Bring Your Own Improv was a guest at the at the Providence Improv Festival! It was Josh, David, Ian, Emily and Daniel and our FAM Courtney. She is a hairdresser who wishes she could teleport to Italy for the food. So we began by serenading her with our Welcome Song.

So we began with a game of Highlander with where audience member Cole almost beat Josh to have to clean up all of the coffee and join in hating Jake! Then in Pillars, the serum for teleportation may have caused someone’s allergies to act up. In Chainsaw an animator, at Harry Potter World with a bean bag chair became a waiter, at ice skating rink with a walnut. Two Headed Monster found doomed life guards and Action Figures made taking out the trash more lovable. Then just as we came in, we went out singing Curtain Call and learning the one smart young man in the audience has a very large vernacular.

20150918_220819Now time for our 9pm show with Alan, Josh, Candice, Emily and Ian and a cozy audience. Our FAM tonight was one of our favorite regulars, Kevin! Kevin works in construction, wants to be a personal trainer, wants to be famous for math and his daughter is just O.K. So we start with a Family Reunion where his wife needs to make more food for Thanksgiving, but Kevin doesn’t like it, so his uncle ate it all.

After a good warm up we play Trolley Stop and saw plenty of drinkers with hidden bottles, external internal monologues, hot tea pots and crank TVs. Then in Say It Again, we learned to ride horses we need light and artistic wiskers. So then the there was a fit of yelling and whys in Pavlovian Reponse. Moving on to Freeze Tag where we have thereputic pipes, overpriced nails and Achillies Heel. Then in Back in My Day we didn’t have toasters, you just held your bagels up to the sun. And we didn’t have therepists, but we learned that Ian might need one. We moved over to Sit, Stand and Lie Down we learned that venom does not belong on the end of acupuncture tips. And finally we finished up with Story, Story, Die where the bread crisis of ’73 caused the fireman not to make any dough and massive yeast infections brought in the Pope who made it into Kosher Bread.

20150918_201456It is BYOI’s 7pm show and we are here with Alan, Josh, Emily, Candice and Ian. And our FAM tonight is Jake who loves Ed Sheernan, The Man from U.N.C.L.E. and studies lunch. And our FAM game tonight is Pillars where Jake is our Pillar and Emily’s beard is as magestic as a horse.

Now on to Try That on for Size where we pulled ropes we were not supposed to and parrots were lifted up. Then in Short Cutz, The Noodle Shop had to compete with the Puppy Pizza Palace and Josh was not wanted at his own birthday party. Moving on to Timmy in the Well where Tom Hiddleston colored the wall in Disney Land, South America. Then singing trees were being cut down in the theater and Snoopy wanted to play fetch in Center Piece. Following that, Slogans gave us such slogans as “My room, the only thing left of Myspace.” and “Peanut Butter, solves your hunger in a Jiffy!” Then it is time for the international championship of changing cat litter in Sports Commentator where tastes tests are acceptable. Then finally in Irish Ditty, the cast sung about Jake washing his underwear!

20150918_184651It’s Friday night and here we are with Maddie, Idallis, Gabbie and Emily and our FAM Spencer. Spencer is a Math teacher who loves his job, but could be a dog trainer, want to visit Cairo and would be an oatmeal chocolate chip cookie. So we began with FAM Pack where the fluffy pit bull may have been returned for dinner.

Next up is Trolley Stop where the hyper twins, awkward passengers, unintelligable criers and 100 likes were had. Then in Good Cop, Bad Cop we had Tom Brady, train his dogs with Elsa? New gets I guess. We move onto Rope where all we do at parties is climb the rope. In Say It Again where we keep rocks in our wallets, duh! Finally in Highlander where Maddie had to be marrying an awesome wife dressed in Peach… a designer peach.

FAM9pm 091115Welcome back to the late night BYOI show at the Warwick Museum of Art! Did I mention there’s a new art exhibit? Come see it! Once again, we had Alex, Emily, Josh, Amy, Daniel and Meredith on stage making everyone laugh. The FAM was Cameron, who is taking an unwanted break from school and will hopefully use his time to do awesome stuff! He came to the show with his friend Jonathan, and who seems like a better person than his doughnut shop. In FAM Day in the Life, Cameron and his friends had a very apathetic day, complete with a delivery of doughnuts with extra despair. Josh, Meredith and Daniel did the Disney film “The Rescuers Down Under” in 60 seconds, but left quite a bit out, like the jumping mouse. They remembered that in the 30 second version, but forgot the albatross on the eggs! After the 10 second version, they finally mastered it enough to be able to perform the whole film in one second. Revolver had denture grenades and a possible fire in the distance. This was followed by Party Quirks, where Alex was hosting a Donald Trump/Hilary Clinton debate party. His guests were Daniel as Charles Manson, Emily as a blender and Josh, who was allergic to the color gold.

Next up was Guidance Counselor, with Meredith giving advice–in song! Josh’s students left thumb tacks on his chair, Daniel was a failed cheerleader who was going to better off trying out for field hockey, and Emily found dirty underwear in lockers when she was cleaning the school up. Finding dirty stuff would be bad, so we then moved onto World’s Worst! There, we learned about the worst colanders, trash collectors (“Nope. Nope. Nope.”), and visit to London. We had a very special Serious Scene, as the serious actors in the cast performed a scene about parasites and putting a ring on it. The night ended with Sing It! where we watched Alex trip and nae nae. Thanks to our honorary FAM, Jonathan, for ringing the bell anytime he wanted to hear a song!

FAM7pm 091115It’s Friday night! Time for another great family friendly BYOI show at the Warwick Museum of Art. Tonight the cast was made up of Meredith, Josh, Alex, Daniel, Amy and Emily. Our FAM was Dawn, who is a nursing assistant and has been happily married to her husband, Otto, for 7 years.

In FAM Pack, Dawn was brave enough to play with the cast! They missed tea time, met the Frog King and noticed the sweet smell of formaldehyde. In Trolley Stop, the cast and audience members Karen and Carolyn met interesting characters like the lady avoiding parking tickets and victims of poison ivy. Say It Again had Daniel, Meredith and audience member Ava talking about their friend at the Center For Chalk Injuries and Meredith’s deep thoughts about pasta. What goes with deep thoughts? A press conference! Josh was Lady Gaga Belichick, who invented Post-its that brush teeth!

Catch Phrase was fun, with Amy and audience member Addison stressing Daniel out as he had to make new cake from his room! Rope was next, with the addition of audience members Carolyn, Addison and Ava. Amy thought she had cable and a great swimming vacation was on the calendar! Thanks to everyone for their energy, and making that the best game of Rope we’ve played! Amy, Meredith and Carolyn were the ladies of Sit, Stand and Lie Down, as they attended a cookout! Unfortunately, the shrimp took too long to cook because the pilot light on the grill was out. The show ended with Highlander, with Daniel, Josh, Alex and Meredith competing with each other in a scene where the ER was brought into the living room. Everyone seemed to love the “With our powers combined” and Josh’s crazy energy! Sadly for Daniel, he had to perform in everyone’s place in the end.

IMAG5923Tonight’s show Youth Collective show featured Ryan, Emme, Maddi, Idallis and Gabby! The FAM tonight was Amelia. Her favorite subject is English, she hates algebra. Her favorite movie is 21 Jump St. and she likes to sail. To start off FAM Growing and Shrinking Machine where we learned that algebra is still a difficult subject, Spanish projects can’t be completed with just play-doh and string, and a magical new creature “The Dabbit” (dog-rabbit) came to exisence.

The exciting game of Highlander was up next, and Emme, Maddi, Gabby, and Idallis sailed…. and sank, but there were no emergency buckets! Luckily a Leanardo DiCaprio mermaid came by to help. Gabby doesn’t know what a Dabbit is and Emme have Emme is a sailing instructor and named the beautiful bundle Toothbrush. In Spelling Bee the whole cast spelt very difficult words such as ‘apple’ and ‘hippopotamus.’ Finally, the Paris was the subject of Catch Phrase, which led to proclamations of love and anxiety.
