Featured Audience Members, Show Recap No Comments »

20160129_220739And we are back with our Late Night Show and the same cast of Emily, Amy, Alan, David, Candice and Kennedy and our FAM tonight Kristen. Kristen works at Walmart, enjoys the peacefulness of the Bahamas and   loves the movie, You’ve Got Mail. So of course we had to begin with Typewriter a story about the mystery days of Walmart where almond milk is on sale, the coffee is full of piss and vinegar and the store will be shut down.

So let’s be serious for a game in Serious Scene where the kids are locked in the zoo to feed the kittens. Next up is Centerpiece where the tacos are already paid for and pants are not optional. We now have a New Born where Amelia Earhart and Cinderella had a baby named Six Flags. Following that up is Pillars where the house can jump to space and Amy has been a lonely old woman. In Questions Candice’s mind is blown and Amy is waiting for her package. Then in Freeze Tag the Elephant coughed on cue and and the owl asked not to pollute. Finishing it off was a rousing song of Do Run where thank god we had a piston.

20160129_201517Here we are on this Friday night at 7pm for the BYOI Family Friendly Show with the cast of Emily, Alan, Amy, David, Candice and our auditioner Kennedy. Our FAM tonight is Rick. Rick is real-estate manager who needs a steaming cup of coffee, enjoys the God Father and would love to be a Li-bra, half lion, have zebra.

For our first game where we saw a Day in the Life of Rick where we learned he forgot about his animals and how allergic his tenants were to them. Then in Trolley Stop where we had knowledge thieves, pigeons and then “sealed” the deal. In Because I Said So pants were cheap, Pluto had to change it’s Neptune and the Sun has commitment issues. Next up was Pavlovian Response where rappers and monkey don’t belong in the lab. Here comes the Two Headed Monster where the God Father is concerned about the Libra and must skedaddle. In Slogans, Real Estate is not Fake Estate and Pepper for when you just want to Push… The Growing and Shrinking Machine produced gravity was lost and there was just a little bit of goat milk. Finally for the last game we had Debate Club where self employment needs deliverables of fear, but not from Alan, because he delivers Arizona Ice Tea to fans with unnecessary arm movements and late rent.

IMAG7307_1Welcome back to the late night BYOI show at the Warwick Museum of Art! We once again had Emily, Ian, Alan, Candice, Daniel and auditioner Heather. Our FAM was Laura, who is  biology professor. She wouldn’t visit Siberia because it’s cold and likes Indian food. Laura had the great job of deciding when the cast had to break out into song in FAM Sing It! Daniel and Candice were on a very eventful car ride which ended with Ian holding onto the car as the rest of the cast tried to pull them over.

Highlander started off the show, with Emily, Candice, Ian and audience member Carolyn doing a scene. Candice and Carolyn were the final two standing, with one calling the other an overachiever as they stirred curry. Alan and Heather had to clean out lockers and the chemistry lab in Catch Phrase, but Ebola was everywhere! Marriage Counselor was next, as Candice had to help Ian and audience member Allison. Ian was obsessed with “Frozen” while Allison thought she was a garden gnome. Sadly, the two of them kept running out of toilet paper. In Meanwhile, the office woman had a degree in staples and we visited Emily’s mind! Staple gun!!

Back In My Day was next, where we didn’t have smores, penguin steaks (and we still don’t!!), squirrel babysitters or bikini waxers. In Fortunately, Unfortunately, Daniel and audience member Carolyn told the story of a hamster in Siberia, but after an Uber and some turbulence, he made it to Rhode Island! Emily and audience member Reagan had the fun job of acting the scene out! The final game of the night was Curtain Call, as the cast sang about running, doing improv and Laura!

IMAG7304_1The forecast is calling for snow this weekend, so we had a bunch of people wisely try to get out and have fun before the storm! Our family friendly show at the Warwick Museum of Art had a great crowd as Candice, Ian, Daniel, Emily, and Alan took the stage with auditioner Heather. Our FAM was Leslie, who is a fraud investigator! She came to the show with her husband and family. They went to Rome just before Christmas, which sounds pretty awesome! Leslie was such a good sport, she let the cast convince her to play FAM Centerpiece! We met a really clingy cat, Princess Leia was kicked out of her own film franchise and our brave FAM had to pose for 6 days for art!

Ian, Alan and audience member Jonathan went to a very interesting safari in The Quickest Minute! We learned about how some things on Animal Planet are true, and the warthog was made to sing “Hakuna Matata” while taking a selfie! Two audience members gave inspiration as Candice and Ian acted out a battle between Batman and the Tick in Pillars. Thankfully, our foes ended up as friends! Daniel decided to have company in Party Quirks, and it was a very strange group that visited. He ended up hosting Alan, who was Bernie Sanders, Heather the turkey baster, and audience member Kennedy the toothbrush!

Six Pack was next, with two audience members joining us! Denture exchanging happened at the old folks’ home, Jackson Pollack tried to 3D some fine art and the world was going to be saved–or not! Slogans was successful, as the cast and a few audience members came up with sales pitches for lasagna, railroad bridges, Mount Rushmore (Because South Dakota needed something!) and tacos! In Freeze Tag, we met apes, Alan refused to help Emily feel validated and Ian could dream! The show ended with Busta Rap, as the cast and a few audience members had a rap battle! Ultimately, Ian won, which shouldn’t be a surprise.

IMAG7259_1We’re back for the second show of the night at the Warwick Museum of Art with Daniel, Alan, Josh and Candice! The late night show’s FAM was Janice, who is a waitress at Davenport’s. She made us all hungry as she talked about the yummy food! She also sings and writes stories. She came to the show with her boyfriend Aaron. Janice likes lions and reading, especially inspirational books. “The Scary Inspiration” was the title of the movie adaptation of Janice’s life in FAM Remake! Josh wasn’t happy with that, so the cast remade it as a sci-fi romance, and then again as a thrilling Magic tournament film!

The show started off with Helping Hands, as audience members Danielle and Kennedy helped Alan and Josh with their job boiling eggs. Candice had fun on the bell in Say It Again, as Alan, Daniel and audience member Allison were socialites having a snobby party. Next up was Madame Zelda, where Josh had to figure out Alan’s fortune. With the help of spirits Daniel, Candice and FAM Janice, he figured out Alan was going to have a bad breakfast before breaking up with his stripper girlfriend, and finally he would steal a cop car to win back his ex.

Lines From a Cup was a great followup, with Candice giving birth. She had help from Alan and Kennedy, with exciting mopping and mutual hatred of Nick Cannon. World’s Worst was a bunch of fun, with a bunch of people jumping in line! We learned about the worst Michael Jackson impersonator, magician and teacher. Did you know the capital of Wisconsin is 43? Now you do! In Follow That Action, audience members Carolyn, Heather, Kennedy and Danielle played with the cast on stage. There, we met the Romanian Count Chocula, who had an awkward encounter at the Red Cross. Spelling Bee ended the night, with not so accurate spelling and definitions of words like blue, shawl and repercussions!

IMAG7254_1Thanks for joining us for a fun night at the Warwick Museum of Art! The 7pm BYOI show was fun with Alan, Candice, Josh and Daniel. Our family friendly show’s FAM was Cate! She’s a local 6th grader who loves music class. She came to the show with her parents, aunt and brother. She loves art, penguins and sleeping! This info made for a very memorable FAM Welcome Song! In Sports Commentator, Alan and audience member Allison were competing to see who was the best toilet cleaner! Our hosts Daniel and audience member Zach were very lively commentators. Meanwhile started off with a kid tossing out his mattress in order to make a nest of laundry, and a photographer tried taking pictures of an unphotogenic puppy. Thanks to audience members Kennedy and Heather for joining in! Next up, Candice and audience member Jim played Tom Brady and Katy Perry in New Born. Thanks to help from the cast and audience members Yunus and Zach, they were able to proudly announce the birth of their new baby, The George Washington Bridge.

Sing It! was up next, with our FAM Cate in charge of the bell. The Hasbro switchboard room was the setting for this musical game, with audience members John and Heather also playing along. In Rope, the cast and audience members Allison, Kelvin and Zach didn’t like cheese or nose pickers, and loved getting a touchdown! Daniel and Kennedy were the storytellers for mimes Alan and Yunus in Fortunately/Unfortunately. They told the story of a penguin, a frozen lane and a stick of lit dynamite! The final game of the show was Story, Story, Die, with audience members Allison, Jim, Ian and Zach playing with the cast. In the story, a boy went clothes shopping for his hamster, hamburgers could talk and there was an epic battle between 90’s references.

FAM2 010816Welcome back to the first night of our ninth season! The Warwick Museum of Art was once again home to Candice, Amy, Josh, Ian and Daniel. The FAM was Justin, who is a med student at Brown University. In the small amount of free time he has, he likes to play video games and go rock climbing. He wants to go snorkeling in the Great Barrier Reef, and I’m pretty sure Josh’s manhood was very threatened by Justin. He’s a big sci-fi/action fan and loved the new “Star Wars” but hated the horrible prequels from 10 years ago, because he has good taste! He came to the show with his girlfriend Jackie, who is a law student, who he described as incredible and tough. Jackie in turn described Justin as a genius, generous and thoughtful. They’re so cute! FAM Pillar had Josh practicing shooting for a whole 24 hours…per year…in space! Needless to say, he was not very good at aiming.

Action Figures was the first game with audience participation, with Dana and Jim moving Daniel and Amy. It was a fun game with them going moped racing in the living room! Candice and Ian did scenes with audience members Wyatt and FAM Justin. Snorkeling in the desert was a way to test out drysuits, Candice was able to have Justin do her bidding. Interrogation Lineup was next, with the cast along with audience members Jonathan and Jim in the criminal lineup. Amy and audience member Sharon were the witnesses who had to help figure out who forgot to put jelly in the jelly doughnuts at Downton Abbey with Mickey Mouse. Ultimately

Catch Phrase was a blast, with Amy, Josh and audience member Jackie! The fire hose was in a wrong place and it was very objectionable! From there, we moved on to Spelling Bee, with the cast and audience members Jonathan, Wyatt and David spelling–or trying to spell–words like color, president, chemistry and Mississippi. Growing and Shrinking Machine followed that, with audience members Carolyn, Rose and FAM Justin jumping in! A student wanted meatballs so much he became litigious, a group of people weren’t doctors but were fans of various medical TV shows, and we visited the rodeo! The final game was Sing It, where the cast got ready for brain surgery…in song!

FAM1 010816Tonight we started off season NINE! Can you believe it?! Daniel, Candice, Ian, Amy and Josh entertained a great crowd at the Warwick Museum of Art! Our family friendly show’s FAM was Jonathan, who is a mad scientist! He goes to schools and events teaching kids science. During his interview, he made up slippers made from lions and octopus. He likes the countries that used to be part of the English empire and is practical, because he would bring a flashlight. You never know when you need one! The cast went on a safari in a musical FAMlander, with strutting ostriches and selfies.

The show started off with Sit, Stand and Lie Down, with Amy and Daniel joined on stage by Beckett. The scene took place in an art gallery with a vampire-like artist. Lines From a Cup was a hit, with Candice, Ian and audience member Sabina trying to turn the TARDIS into a portal. Along the way, they found snoozeberries, which sent Daniel to dreamland. Next up, Josh needed to help out Daniel and audience member Rose in Marriage Counselor. Daniel’s collection of bunny zebras was upsetting Rose, who thought she was the Taj Mahal. Together, they were dealing with their house being blocked by a maze of geese genies.

Josh, Amy and our FAM Jonathan were preparing a final exam in Say It Again, where blue suede goo and thumbprints covered everything. In Quick Scenes, the cast was joined onstage by audience members Catie, Beckett & Wyatt. Amy was looking for a date for her trip on the Arc, and we had “Doctor Who” references times infinity. This was followed by Follow That Action! Audience members Emmy and Andre played along with the cast! The final game of the night was Irish Ditty, where the cast sang about fascinating flashlights!
