BYOI – The Complex

Birthday Party, Featured Audience Members, Show Recap No Comments »

imageThe Warwick Museum of Art was a great place to end the night! This time we had Emily, Josh, Ian, Jonathan, Josh and Daniel starting off the holiday weekend right! The late night show’s FAM was Don, who was also celebrating a birthday!! He’s a Navy deep sea diver, which is really cool! His favorite part was finding his passionate wife, Kim, there! Don came to the show with his wife and some amazing friends. In FAM Sing It, goat was really good and cheesy, while everyone was full of passion!

Follow That Action had Emily almost becoming a full bread, except it smelled like Axe Body Spray. Ian was the the wise one in Guidance Counselor. Emily had lost all of her fingers during archery, Jonathan needed to inspire his students to stop being so physical, and Daniel worried about his blind kids stepping in stuff.

Everything Emporium had Alan as the purveyor of fine goods like Sofia Vergara’s toilet cleaner, a silent blender that cleans gutters and a furnace that runs on feathers. Remake was fun fixing pants! The self help version was better than the original, and the anime was better than the self help! In Famous Last Words, we heard about the last words of plumbers, Nicholas Cage and the Grand Canyon. The final game of the night was Debate Club, talking about Puerto Rico, being yourself with your parents and a bunch of other things!

imageFamily Friendly improv is fun! We had a blast tonight at the Warwick Museum of Art with Ian, Emily, Jonathan, Josh, Alan and David! Our FAM was Ari, who turned 6 today! He loves learning new words and cute puppies! He wants to go on a relaxing tropical vacation, which would relieve some kindergarten stress! The cast serenaded Ari in a very snappy FAM Do Run!

In What Are You Doing, gifts were picked out, a llama was shaved and David went bowling with lettuce. Emily needed her food tested in Six Pack, with the addition of FAM Ari and audience member Carolyn–and the addition of orange in macaroni and cheese! The Dating Game was next, with Josh as the bachelor. He had to choose between Ian as a shoelace, David as a Kardashian sister and audience member Allie as a rainbow. Luckily, he found love with the shoelace!

Up next was Questions, with the addition of Daniel! Jonathan was looking for his new puppy, there was a nefarious plan to off Josh and Alan somehow grew taller! Bustra Rap was fun with raps about food, lack of hair and shopping! The game came down to a heated competition between David and Josh, with Josh as the victor! Growing and Shrinking Machine featured audience members Tom and Carolyn, with an orchestra, a pilgrimage to find the holy laces and there were so many coconuts! The final game of the show was Highlander, with illegal counterfeit paper and a surprise cheetah.

BYOI – Everything and Nothing

imageIt’s Friday night and BYOI is here with Maddie, Cat, Carolyn and Idallis arre having their sessions last show. So they are going out strong and start the night off with the FAM Ryan. Ryan is a case manager, wants to go to Greece and wants super strength to pick things up… and put them down. So in the first game of Day in the Life, Ryan’s coworker Bob has a degree in everything and… and nothing.

So next up in Try That On for Size, we had violent cat pets and lots of magic wands. In Chainsaw a pro-wrestler at Cumberland Farms with a “bubblar” became a pro-athlete in a supermarket with a Slurpee. Then in Because I Said So, the reason the Joker hates Batman is too scary for a toddler and water was born cold. Freeze Tag taught us that Carolyn really loves honey! Finally, we had Debate Club, where squares weren’t balls, the kids knew too much about the Illuminati, and it wasn’t cold–it was freezing!

HORNET1The group had an awesome time at Holliman Elementary School! Our cast featured Kennedy, Jonathan, and Candice. Our FAM Thomas is in the sixth grade. He loves apple pie and loves feeding chicken parm to his pet dog sheep, Thomas! Our two-headed monster avoided climbing the ropes in gym class by getting apples, pears, and apricots!
Next, a criminal broke into the elementary school during good cop/bad cop! With the help of Olaf, our culprit washed all of the dishes in the chicken coop! After, Thomas participated in a sing-it baseball game where he found his true love for singing. Torn between two worlds, Thomas found a way to make his coach happy while also following his dreams to be a singer. During action figures, Candice and Jonathan found the courage to go for a swim and went to the beach together! Lastly, Kennedy served her pet pig by accident during highlander. Her co-workers tried to hide to problem, but they all found it was best to leave using disguises. After a series of rounds, Jonathan was the last one standing!
