We had another great show with Barbara, Daniel, Jonathan, Ian, Emily and David. Our FAM was Allegra! She works with little kids and loves Dr. Seuss. She came to the show with her husband, Gary, and he loves that Allegra is not afraid to speak her mind. They have a lot of pets, but her favorites are the 3 kitties. FAM Pillar showed us an interesting take on Allegra and Gary’s marriage, with tons of innuendo.

Growing and Shrinking had a fidget spinner, a disappointing family dinner and Ian’s impressive rhyming skills. Centerpiece had dangerous candy, the wrong century for 80’s music class, and fun with chemistry! Jonathan and audience member Kate were the Sydney Opera House and Michael Jackson in New Born, as they met baby Snuffleupagus.

Say It Again had David, Jonathan and Barbara trying to form a band. It was a jazz fusion band with rare instruments and unusual ways of playing. Quick Scenes had a mom chasing joggers, a strange club and a stressful internship. Sit, Stand and Lie Down had a quick trip to a hotel with Ian, Emily and audience member Jake. Thankfully, the roaches were clean! The final game of the night was Sing It! The cast did some scenes in occasional song about repairs, bad dreams, and Barry White was our only hope.

We kicked off the summer BYOI style with a strong family friendly show! Tonight we had Ian, Barbara, Emily, David, Jonathan and Daniel delighting the audience. Our FAM was Julie! When she was little, all she wanted to do was grow up. She was at the show with her son Ethan, and his girlfriend. She works in the medical field and loves chocolate mousse. FAM Day in the Life showed a Julie’s workplace during Bring Your Kid and His Girlfriend to Work day, with biohazard cake mix, dipples and a surprise appearance by Buddha.

The show started off with Highlander! Daniel, Emily and Ian were joined by audience member Trinity. They did a story of Rapunzel, which was only complete with a human hairbrush and references to the wrong movie. The guys were knocked out first, before Emily ended up performing all four parts alone. Catch Phrase had David in the middle of Barbara and Julie, as he had to interview singers for a bolted jazz club. One of his workers loved dining cars, and the other was stuck in a rerun. In Everything Emporium, Jonathan had to help his customers look for unconventional items. Ian needed chainsaw flavored candy, Emily needed 42, and audience member Liz was looking for socks for her hands.

Last Line, First Line was a blast with mobsters on a journey and adventures in the airport! Story, Story Die told the story, one storyteller at a time, of a very hungry snow leopard. After he escaped the zoo and moved in with Julie and was eventually hung out with snow leopard-shaving monks. In the end, Emily was the sole survivor! Try That On For Size had waxing on & on, small things and physical therapy. Finally, we had a fun Debate Club! Lactose intolerant moons made gas giants, and we learned that feelings are important.

They like going to the beach and trying new things. In FAM Typewriter, Emily and Kelly wrote the story of Kelly’s coworkers and their culinary experiments.

Helping Hands had the kids planning a birthday party with butterscotch from the local nursing home and a life sized elephant pinata. Next up, Emmy was looking for love in the Dating Game! She had to choose between a tourist kangaroo, a chocolate lover, and France. In Spelling Bee, the kids spelled toast, pencil and ostentacious!

Thanks for joining us for our late night show with Daniel, Candice, David, Ally, Barbara and Emily! Our FAM was Bonnie, who is a professional caregiver and frequently late. She came to the show with the patient Gunther. During the show, she thought up a beanbag futon, and I think everyone now wants one. FAM Day In the Life had office skis, a sick employee at work, and a cat/dog to cover all of the allergies.

We started off the show with Good, Bad & Ugly! We learned about how to brush your teeth properly and how to lose weight…or not. Catch Phrase was fun with Emily in the middle of Candice and audience member Jake. The game had lots of declarations of love and wishes for soup. Marriage Counselor followed, with Ally having to help David and Bonnie. David loved covering himself at home, Bonnie could only speak in 2 word sentences, and they had a vampire mother living with them.

Up next was Revolver, with cheese ball massage, a 9 months long food baby and weird things in the mouth. Post It had crazy combinations like caregiver+Central Perk, bottom of a cliff+Rocky Point, gym+tambourine, doorway to China+correctional facility, and mall Santa+drag queen. We took a trip to Russia in Serious Scene with a swimming horse and some interesting situations. The night ended with Say It Again! There was a hunt for the Lochness Monster and we learned about the power of positive talk.

We had a great air conditioned night on this hot day with Ally, Emily, David, Candice, Barbara and Daniel! Our family friendly show’s FAM was Paola! She works in insurance and came to the show with her friend Andy. She’s fascinated by space and likes cats, so we think she’s cool. FAM Typewriter had Paola driving her car into work and refurbishing a spaceship. She got polka dot pajamas for her favorite cat and ended up taking the coffee machine out in a crash landing.

The show started off strong with Helping Hands! Daniel and Candice were helped by Ally and David, as they worked on a repair project to “Eye Of the Tiger” as sung by ducks because the air conditioning was broken. This was followed by Alphabet, where Candice was very dramatic when she found out zebras disappear when she yelled. Along the way, she and Daniel ended up finishing the entire alphabet! Next up, Emily was looking for love in the Dating Game. After having to choose between Patrick Swayze, a whistle and a ski slope, she decided to stay single.

After that game, we needed advice through song in Guidance Counselor! Ally lost her tarantula, Daniel fell in love, and our brave audience member had an upset stomach. Up next was Spelling Bee, with attempts to spell fall, crispy, and some crazy sciency word that one of our regulars suggested. I’m using the word “attempt” very liberally here. Try That On For Size had understanding of paintings, hand waving, “Chopsticks” with chopsticks, and studying for finals. The cast then sang a recap of the show in Curtain Call.

We had a great show with the kids of the Youth Collective for our first show of the night, with Gabriella, Rose, Aidan and Ethan! Our FAM was Fritzi, also known as Aidan’s biggest fan! She teaches the second grade, and loves watching her students grow up and mature. She told us the story of when she found out her birthday was different than she’d thought when she was little, and why she loves numbers. FAM Sing It had the kids singing about love, math and greatness!

Growing and Shrinking had a person jumping off a cliff in a squirrel suit and dogs learning to dig using the right paw, left paw method. Chainsaw had a puppy lifeguard on Mount Everest with a book with a C-clamp. Slogans was next, with catch phrases for space, cats, birthdays and daughters.

Revolver was energetic with a family of puppies, a fight for pancakes, and a trip to France! The show ended with an epic rap battle in Busta Rap, with Aidan as the rap master.

Welcome back for our 9pm Late night show! We still have Josh, Candice, Ian, Erich and Barbara with our FAM Ethan. He is a sophomore in high school, where it is very low stress. He wants to study engineering and eat pepper jack cheese. Our first game was Typewriter, where the dog displaces the mom by changing diapers, washing the kid and singing them to sleep.

Next, in Freeze Tag, the life alert was stolen and the shotgun got cleaned. Then in Alphabet, Duck Zoos are for sale and two action stars are very hesitant. Then Madam Zelda predicted that Ian would meet his twin, then he won a space lottery and then got a pet unicorn. Remake brought us a movie the Pacman adventure brought us Anime Ghost Eyeballs and seductive ghosts. We followed that up with Greatest Hits where we “Cried in the West” and “Lost My Way”. All the songs were solid but real and deep tonight. In Quickest Minute we saw Hanzel & Gretel reduced to a bad Craig’s List Ad. Then Erich decided to turn the last game into “Songs from a Cup,” wherein the Duckett we found the polar opposite of an oasis.

We had such an energetic late night show with Meredith, Ally, David, Ian, Daniel and Candice! Our FAM was John, who works for National Grid with renewable energy. He came to the show with his sweet wife, Tracy and his posse. He’s practical and likes low maintenance animals. FAM Sing It had a couple skiing down an anvil mountain.

The show started with Fortunately/Unfortunately, as Daniel and audience member Rose told a story for Candice and audience member Gabriella to mime out. They told the story of a napping worker rebelling against his mean boss, but he had no need for happy pills. To David’s chagrin, Ian and audience member Paul hit the telephone pole in Two Headed Monster. Sadly, they were afraid of electricity. After that, we had to solve a crime in Interrogation Lineup! The horrible crime was clipping toenails at Stop & Shop with Pancho Villa.

After that ordeal with the criminals, we jumped over to Questions! The mouse wasn’t too fluffy and we met three legged snakes who may like bunnies. Famous Last Words then taught us the last words of Kermit the Frog and Cinco De Mayo, among others. Highlander was the last full game of the night, with Ally, Candice, Ian and Daniel slipping at work. Daniel tried cheating his way out of the game, but it wasn’t OSHA or NAFTA approved. The night ended in song with the Irish Ditty!
